i didnt think id own a european car. i was hunting for a miata, or an impreza wrx, as my old rattling v8 american truck was climbing above 220,000mi (354,000km). burning out from the cycle of getting ignored, getting a lead, finding problems, and backing out. the economy is FUCKED man. cant buy a fucking car right now. all this brand new corpo girl network admin money & still going to work every day in the lip-packer mobile. a local mechanic & race car driver was selling the tdi & after weeks of seeing it still listed i caved. it was his personal car he bought on a whim i guess.
this shit FUCKS. its cute its so comfy and the feeling of climbing up onto the turbo mindbroke me a bit. when i go wide-open fuel, so much soot comes out the back it swirls in my wake. very late-2000s "i spent weeks negotiating with my parents over what car theyd let me buy." idk what the wheels are from but i think the GTI uses the same size tires.
